MAX_MAP_BRUSHSIDES means you have too many brushes in the map, SF solved this is minecraftcontest by converting some brushes to models, not sure how to do that though.

This Award goes to Guido, our linux mechanic. Linux servers are running properly now. At least 2 will be up for sure 100%. One of them is already running now thanks to the support of
[link] and my old CS clan United-By-Fate who will raise the Stonehenge server tomorrow afternoon.

The mod files for download of client and server have been sent and at least the PlanetHalfLife download(Thanks to Tom and D3pth_charge) will be on time for saturday. I just cant say when on Saturday(exact time). Yes you have to make an account if you want your mod on time . It's a free download.

Keep the eyes pealed and congratulations on everyone involved for getting this mod in shape and ready ON THE DEADLINE!

Not bad for an amatuer crew that acts like a group of professionals.

We deliver you quality but rememeber one thing before you play it:

Do not compare it to CS1.6 if thats where you come from. It's a totally different engine and you will need a few minutes to get used to the slight differences in the movements. Try things before complaining about them We have at least captured the feel of what the game was intended to be. This is only the beginning. There is much more in store for this mod. 50% of the planned features are in it right now.

Stress Test Results

In most of the screenshots you see I have also shown the FPS I have.

I made a poll for this so please all of you do a stress test and vote! It can help us a lot on how much detail to add if we know how you stand and if I initially made the right descision about reducing all the special affects for BETA1.

I personally run the mod with 1024x768, all model, textures, shaders, shadows, and reflections on their highest settings, plus 2x anit-aliasing and trilinear filtering(2x AA isnt recommended for my system but doesnt show major differences either).

For my CS:S Stress Test I used all those settings, but only in 800x600 and not the 2x anti-aliasing and got this:

78.68 average frames.

With 1024x768 I only had 68.65 average frames.

In only one single map in the mod at the very top, do I get 60-70 frames when looking down at everything. There are also 2 spots in 2 different map where they get below 80 but not by much(cathedral and 2man minimap).

Yo this is it friends.

Expect an official release this week.....more directly...the weekend.

The last 2 major coding problems were solved today thanks to our genius Kaos_nyrb.

We will only have to do without third person spectator mode until an update.

I will try my best to get all 23 maps ready for shipping, thursday so hopefully friday or saturday the first download area will be ready.

Anyone showing me that they have a server ready for this mod prior to release, should contact me directly. You better be able to prove you have a server though. -email-
