I have the same problem surfrock, all demos of map kz_mix_journeys or kz_maze_wickedgarden and even more maps have this problem. I don't know how can i fix it.
The Recording Rules Page These rules are subject to change at anytime. Last updated: 20 March, 2013 Things to know before even thinking about it...
To record a World Record in KZMod 1.1, you simply use the record_wr command while ingame. No external program is necessary, just this console command. There is a limited amount of characters allowed in a record_wr filename, so we recommend you use the command in this manor: "record_wr MyWRDemo" and rename the file once you are done to the format further down.
Note: Naming the demo "MyWRDemo" is just for the game's sake during recording. You need to rename your demo to match the naming rules further down, as well as the kcac file.
DO NOT RECORD ON THE FOLLOWING MAPS: kz_minimania. The second map to not record on has 2 courses you CAN record on. Kz_coop_minis is a collection of courses for multiplayer with a "secret" solo course. 2man rooftops is in caverns_deep and 2manjourney is in the map mix_journeys. Do not record those 2 courses from kz_coop_minis. The other 2 courses on kz_coop_minis are legal because they are not found in any other map (3man legacy and hansolo).
We accept world records for multi-player (2man, 3man etc) courses, but both players must submit their demo and .kcac files together for the run to be accepted. These demos must be recorded on a Listen Server (NOT a dedicated one) or it will not be accepted. These demos need to be submitted together (the host of the server needs to upload the rar containing both demo and kcac files.
Caution: KCAC file sizes can become as big as 30 megabytes for a 30 minute run - make sure you have enough disk space and don't go afk with the demo recording!
You must record your demo on your own listen server. Demos recorded on a dedicated server or another server that isn't for a multiplayer (two-player etc) course will not be accepted!
Make sure that sv_cheats is at 0 when recording your demo! If it's at 1, your demo will not be accepted!
Note: Older DLL's (after the 1.0 update) can be found properly arranged in your kzmod/bin/oldones folder so that older demos are still viewable. The World Records list shows you which version the demo was made with, so you will know, when you download the demo, which DLL's you will need.
KZmod Official Course Rules
Get there as fast as you can, no matter what it takes! Until it's directly forbidden, use it!
1. On Derby or Target Races, camping while shooting flares for points is not allowed. You must genuinely be trying to get your fastest time while you also shooting down your mechanical opponents along the way. 2. Bungee specific: 2 bounces per target are allowed, at the second bounce you must go for the next target: attach-bounce-float*-bounce-float+cut-next target attach. 3. You cannot use a starting point that required sv_cheats 1, noclip, the Hook, the limited Bungee or any award to get to prior to starting your timer. At the same time you are not allowed to use sv_cheats 1 to alter the position of any physics objects in a map to later be used as a shortcut prior to starting your timer. 4. Maps that contain Award pick-ups: You are not allowed to get the Award pick-ups prior to starting your timer. This includes retrieving a Limited Bungee (example: kz_invasion) or the Boots of the Seeker which are both not classified as an Award pickup. 5. Shooting timers with the pistol is not allowed. 6. Make sure your player name in your demo matches your kzmod.com username!! 7. For 2+man demos your usernames need to be seperated by a comma. (kz_caverns_deep_2manrooftops_pizzah,NeeliM_0216.86.rar for example)
Red rules were added as of KZmod v1.2
* = with the bungee still attached or not
Note 1: Breakables may be broken before actually recording the demo. This descision is only for comfortable or easy demo recording only, which may of course, require MANY tries. Otherwise you would have to reload the map after every attempt. Note 2:You may turn on cheats to noclip to a mini-map/course. Rule number 4 applies to your stating point in that mini map. Just make sure sv_cheats 0 is given before recording.
KZmod and Short-Cuts Kreedz Climbing is a race so all Short-Cuts are allowed ...until the map gets updated
Known game bug and award exploit shortcuts are not allowed and may also undergo changes in later game updates. Generally we want to see skillful shortcuts. The Developers reserve the right to deny demos clearly abusing a game "bug" whereas, "bug" indicates things/acts not thought to be possible.
General Rules and Settings Demos recorded on Dedicated Servers will not be accepted but you may allow players to join your Listen server while you make your demo. If you are making a multi
1.sv_cheats 0 is an absolute must setting. 2. The demo must be recorded in First Person View. 3. Let's make it also very clear that the kz_pause function is not allowed in your demos. 4. Any kinds of jump scripts (autobhopscript, etc) are strictly forbidden. The only command that your jump key is allowed to be bound to is "+jump" and you may not install plugins that effect the jump command or any of the air movements, the gravity, view angle (or depth) or any of the special kz_ convars pertaining to friction or timing. In short, you must have the default settings for both your client and your (listen)server to be considered for the demo World Records list. 5. You must leave the configs in the CFG folder as they were, and that includes all the map specific configurations. If surf/bhop mode is called, then surf/bhop settings are valid, even if you are doing a jump route in the surf/bhop map. 6. You are not allowed to use ANY type of entity spawning that will change your movement (speedmod). 7. You are not allowed to use ANY type of Turbo joystick hardware that presses the jump button superfast automatically. 8. You are not allowed to use ANY type of plugins or commands that would give you an advantage over other jumpers in any way shape or form. 9. DO NOT ASK WHEN WE ARE GOING OT MAKE A RELEASE. 10.Check your demo(s) and make sure that it plays correctly, and that all settings are correct before you submit it to us. Cheating will not be tolerated. If the demo is manipulated or settings were changed before or during a recording, an Admin has the power to ban you from this website permanently. This might seem harsh, but it's fair to those who won't cheat their way to KZmod stardom. Know that a VAC ban is a lifetime sentence as well, so we are not any more harsh than VALVe Software. 11. DO NOT ASK WHEN WE ARE GOING OT MAKE A RELEASE. 12. "Fakedemos" are strictly forbidden. Nobody is allowed to record any demos (for ANY World Record section of kzmod.com) with a friends nickname or another username. In the case of any abuse, both involved players will get a lifetime ban from the whole KZmod community for fraudulent behavior. 13. The behavioral rules for this website apply to the behavior in each demo. Read them to know how not to act in your demo. Flaming, etc. will not be tolerated. The same will apply to pornographic, or otherwise offending spraylogos or Art Tool drawings or writings. The Admin has the right to disallow such a demo if he/she feels there is something in your demo that breaks these rules.
The 5 Step Recording Procedure
1. Click "Create Server", select your map from the games main menu. 2. Go to the start of your chosen timer set and use "record_wr chosen_mapname" in the console to begin recording. If you only use "record" there will be no .kcac. 3. Press the start button and manage the course with 0 Teleports (there is no problem with setting checkpoints but teleporting to any of them is not allowed). 4. Stop recording clearly after the stop button so we can see your time properly. Command: stop 5. Compress both the .dem and the same-named .dem.kcac with winrar, and submit your demo using the interface at kzmod.com.
Your demo needs to be only of your successful run. This means that you can't do 20 attempts in the demo to get it right - most players use a bind to stop and start recording so just their good run is recorded. Despite this, it is acceptable if you miss the run once on a short bhop map for example, but not okay to restart 30 times in the same demo.
File COMPRESSION & N4m1nG Conv3nt10nS Saving the Demo Admins some work is usually a good thing for you ...it has been known to lead to faster demo releases, ya know
The demos must be compressed with WinRAR and named like this: "mapname_coursename_author_time.rar". The best way to get the RIGHT name in your demo is to simply copy it from the World Records page, and paste it into your .dem, the .kcac and the .rar you make from both of those files.
If the name of the course matches the name of the .bsp (the levels name), then a coursename will not be necessary.
Writing the TIME correctly: kz_cathedral_yourname_1245.51.rar is for the main course on kz_cathedral using the new miliseconds, and kz_cathedral_slidemap_yourname_0017.36.rar for the minimap called "Slide Map". Still, it is better to simply copy the right name from the World Records page.
A Time of 15:05.36 = 15 minutes, 05 Seconds, 36 Tenths of a second = 1505.36 on your demo name.
Demos should be named with lower case letters only except for your name. It should be written the way you want it to appear in the World Records and Top 5 list. The same applies for the .kcac and .rar file, of course. Keep in mind though, that if your name differs from the name you submitted your earlier demos with, you will have two world record users.
